Pat Richardson retired from the Fort Worth Star Telegram and now works full time with her online bookstore PatCat Books. She is married with 4 kids, 6 grandkids and 5 greatgrands. She and her husband live in Fort Worth with two totally spoiled cats and two even more spoiled dogs. Her goal is to one day actually know what books she has in her TBR pile.
I am a reader of everything. I have been known to pick up a user manual to read when there is not a book at hand. The books you can find sitting on my bed stand at the moment are most likely Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, or Historical. I am known to pull out a Non-Fiction to learn more about my favorite historical figures. If it is a book I will most likely read it since I am an equal opportunity book nerd.
In my free time I love traveling for author signings. There is no better feeling for me then discovery of a new author. I am known to go MIA during the fall thanks to college football season. I also volunteer in animal rescue groups trying to save puppies one at a time. I currently live in Texas with my two fur babies Princess and Dade.
Sharon Chance has been a freelance entertainment journalist for the past fourteen years. As a regular contributor to the Wichita Falls Times Record News, she has written well over 1,600 articles covering everything from concert and movie reviews to museum openings to interviewing some of the top musicians performing today, including members of Bon Jovi and Guns and Roses.
But her true love lies in the world of books. A voracious reader from a young age, Sharon began reviewing books at the urging of her sister-in-law, who was a big fan of the Oprah Winfrey Book Club. What began as a simple fun attempt at sharing her views of books she enjoyed has developed into a work of passion for Sharon. In addition to being a senior book reviewer for the Times Record News, Sharon is also a regular guest contributor for the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Book Nook, as well as having written for several other publications.
A distant relative of the great Edgar Allan Poe, Sharon has a fondness for mysteries, especially those of the cozy kind. In her new column, Sharon’s Cozy Corner, Sharon hopes to bring news of the latest in the cozy mystery genre, as well as insightful interviews with the authors who write them.
Tanzey's first career was in banking, which she left when her husband's contracting business required her full-time attention as financial officer. An avid reader all her life (her mother was a teacher!), she started reviewing books in January 1994 for the monthly publication, Old Book Barn Gazette, eventually serving as editor until its demise in April 2004. She started posting reviews on The Best Reviews in January 2003 and her column previously appeared on Writerspace. Tanzey has no children or pets, but she's still quite happily married to her contractor husband and lives in Tecumseh (that's near Topeka), Kansas. She loves to read, write, crunch numbers, travel - and stay busy!

When a twist of fate landed Jennifer Vido at the "Reading with Ripa" roundtable discussion with Kelly Ripa and Meg Cabot, she knew that her career as a French teacher would never be the same. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Jennifer is a member of Romance Writers of America and reviews books for the major publishing houses, such as Random House, Penguin, and Hyperion. Currently, she is a columnist and reviewer for Fresh Fiction, where her popular monthly column, Jen’s Jewels, appears. As a national trainer for The Arthritis Foundation’s Aquatic and Land Exercise Programs, she is an advocate for those like herself who suffer from arthritis, the nation’s #1 cause of disability. In addition, she serves as Vice-chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Harford County Public Library in Maryland where she resides with her husband and two sons.
Jennifer writes Jen's Jewels, the column that goes behind the scenes and brings your favorite authors to life! Jennifer interviews authors you always wished you could meet and some not-so-famous (yet!) authors you'd want to meet. As always, we here at Fresh Fiction like to give you a variety because we know that we all have different tastes in fiction. Whether it's romance (Jen's personal favorite), mystery or light fiction, we all read books to uplift, inspire or simply to entertain. We hope you will add Jen's Jewels to your must-read monthly list!
If you love to read whether genre fiction or non-fiction, and would like to contribute, we'd love to hear from you. All our positions require people who LOVE to read and know books!
