What is the title of your latest release?
KIERAN. It’s the final book in the Blackwell Brothers’ Redemption trilogy.
What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
Kieran Blackwell, the youngest son of the Grim Reaper, has two choices - save himself and his brothers or watch the woman he loves die.
How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
This is the final book in a trilogy. All three sons have been dropped into the fictional small town of Redemption with limited powers, no money, and no way to communicate with the outside.
Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Absolutely. Georgia is an amazing woman, determined to make her bakery a success. She’s kind, loyal, and dependable. Ples, there’d always be yummy treats to enjoy.
What are three words that describe your hero?
Determined, dangerous, and sexy.
What’s something you learned while writing this book?
My characters always teach me about human nature. I also had to do some research on bakeries and recipes. Not a hardship.
Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I write a rough draft first and then go back and rewrite.
What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
I’m not much of a foodie. I like simple, plain food like bread and cheese and chocolate.
Describe your writing space/office!
All my books, except two, have been written at a desk in the corner of my living room. It’s a small, cozy space that contains a small desk, a chair, and a small bookcase. It works for me.
Who is an author you admire?
There are so many incredible authors I admire. Nora Roberts, Jayne Ann Krentz, Julie Garwood, Shelly Laurenston, Rebecca Zanetti, Nalini Singh, and dozens more. These authors write consistently amazing stories that I’ve enjoyed.
Is there a book that changed your life?
If there was one book, I’d have to say it was HONOR’S SPLENDOUR by Julie Garwood. I’d read historical fiction and fiction, but this was the first historical romance book I ever read. It introduced me to an entirely new genre that changed my life. From there, I discovered the first Amanda Quick book, which of course led me to Jayne Ann Krentz and category romance books. I’ve been voraciously reading romance ever since. And, of course, writing romance for over two decades now.
Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published). Or, for indie authors, when you decided to self-publish.
It was 2004 and I was at my day job when my then husband called and told me I had an email from Ellora’s Cave. (This was before cell phones.) I told him to open it. He read that they wanted to publish my book. I cried, I was so overjoyed. By early 2005 I’d made writing my full-time job.
What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romance, of course. I read across all genres within romance.
What’s your favorite movie?
The Crow. Real love never dies. Real love is forever.
What is your favorite season?
I love summer, but autumn is my favorite season. The brisk air, colorful leaves, Thanksgiving, Halloween. It’s a spectacular time of year.
How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
I’m lowkey. I’ll often go to a movie or maybe out to eat. Sometimes I’ll celebrate with family. As long as there’s cake and a new book, I’m good.
What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
The latest In Death book by J.D. Robb. That series keeps getting better. And I just read the final book in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series, ARCHANGEL’S ETERNITY. Spectacular! Highly recommend both series.
What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
I’m a very plain eater and can eat the same things every day. Bread, butter, cheese, fruit, and a good dark chocolate.
What do you do when you have free time?
I like to read or go for walks. I enjoy going out to the movies and browsing thrift stores as well.
What can readers expect from you next?
I’m currently having fun writing a werewolf series.

Love her. Defy Death. Lose everything.
Kieran Blackwell has always done everything right.

He was wrong.

Reap the soul of a woman destined to die.
It should’ve been simple. Find her. Do the job. Walk away.
Then he meets Georgia Baker. She’s warm, stubborn, and far too good for a creature like him. A small-town baker with a fierce heart and a dangerous past, she sees something in Kieran he thought he’d buried long ago.
And for the first time in centuries…he feels.
But Georgia isn’t just anyone. She’s his assignment.
And this time, failure doesn’t mean punishment. It means exile…or worse—losing the only woman who’s ever made him want to live.
