Hello, This book is a love triangle, so I opted to answer it from all three main characters. Hope this helps.
Book Title: CAMERA STAYS ON
Character Name: Sawyer
How would you describe your family or your childhood?
I had a great childhood. I was on the football team, I got great grades. I had a girlfriend. My parents were supportive as hell. I couldn’t have asked for a better life growing up.
What was your greatest talent?
I’m a filmmaker. I went to school and everything. I know just how to craft the perfect story and direct my cast in such a way that will leave you stunned that someone with a budget of zero dollars can create such art.
Significant other?
I am working things through with my girl, Purdy. We were childhood sweethearts, and we’ve had a rough few years. Nothing we can’t fix though. I’ll send you an invite to the wedding. Cough The second one.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
Listening. Not me. I just think Purdy could stand to open her ears a little more, you know?
Where do you live?
Small mid-west town. You’ve never heard of it, and I’d prefer it stay that way.
Do you have any enemies?
Hardly. Everyone loves me!
How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or particularly repelled by, in this place?
I’m feeling pretty good about my life. My girl is back, we’re about to film a movie, my dream movie, mind you. It’s all coming together.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
My brother has some dogs. They’re alright.
What do you do for a living?
Hopefully this film will be my breakout film and I’ll be doing this full time soon.
Greatest disappointment?
I guess any disappointment I have is based on other people’s actions. I feel like I could be a lot further along in my life, personal and career, if I hadn’t had hiccups with a handful of people.
Greatest source of joy?
Prepping for the next movie.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
It’s not work if you love what you do. Most of my time is consumed by movies, either making or watching. Although I will have a beer over at the bar on occasion.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
Any failings I have in my life aren’t mine.
What keeps you awake at night?
How good this next movie is gonna be!
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
Budget. As a independent filmmaker, it’s difficult to get funding.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have? For yourself or for someone important to you?
See the last question. Money. I need money.
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
Hollywood.
Book Title: CAMERA STAYS ON
Character Name: Asher
How would you describe your family or your childhood?
Everything was the Sawyer Show growing up. Andi, me, and the rest of our family and friends were just along for the ride.
What was your greatest talent?
I’m not sure if it’s a talent, but I have a knack for knowing what will scare people.
Significant other?
Nah, I don’t mind being single.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
I couldn’t really tell you. All of my exes used to say I didn’t really communicate well.
Where do you live?
With Sawyer, right now. Although I’d love to get out of there. I’m getting a little old to be shacking up with my kid brother.
Do you have any enemies?
Probably? Although none I’m worried about.
How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or particularly repelled by, in this place?
Right now, I’m in a good place in life. I’m close to opening my own haunt, and with that entering a new phase of my life. It’s something I’ve always wanted, and I cannot wait to see my dreams come to fruition.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
Two dogs, rescues. They’re great.
What do you do for a living?
Freelance work. It gives me time to work on the haunt.
Greatest disappointment?
That’s loaded. I guess myself, in a way. I often have a lot to say but never the courage to say it.
Greatest source of joy?
My dogs are great, although seeing my plans slowly take shape is also nice.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
I’ve been known to knock a few beers back with my friends.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
My brother. Although I’m not the only one who enabled him.
What keeps you awake at night?
If there’s a bad storm the dogs will start to howl. Does that count?
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
Right now? Well I just bought some property for my haunt, and it needs work. So I guess money, but that’s a boring answer. Most people’s problems are money related, I’m sure.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have? For yourself or for someone important to you?
I—there’s a lot of things. Or one thing. One… person, really. I’d like to keep that private, if you don’t mind.
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
A lot. If I started that story you’d probably demand some money for your time. I’ll just put it this way. There’s a lot of history between Sawyer, Andi, and I, and with that, a lot of shoulda, coulda, woulda’s.
Book Title: CAMERA STAYS ON
Character Name: Andi
How would you describe your family or your childhood?
I was raised by my mother, who was absent. She has since passed on. I’d rather not talk about it.
What was your greatest talent?
I can survive off ramen and black coffee for longer than most.
Significant other?
None, thank god. I don’t need that stress in my life.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
I’ve only really had the one. Sawyer is the challenge.
Where do you live?
I’ve lived in Chicago for the last few years.
Do you have any enemies?
Someone, I’m sure, because there’s no way my shitty life is just naturally occurring. Someone has to be sabotaging me.
How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or particularly repelled by, in this place?
I’m broke—so not good. However if I had to choose being close to homeless in Chicago, alone, or back home with Sawyer - I’d be unhoused and happy.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
No animals, no children. Can’t afford either.
What do you do for a living?
I work as the ticket girl for Chicago’s oldest adult movie theater! It’s a historic building!
Greatest disappointment?
Myself, sometimes. I dropped out of school and still haven’t landed on my feet.
Greatest source of joy?
Our regular customers. Sure, they are a little perverted, but they are also kind, funny, and just good company.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
When I was going to college, I was pursuing a film degree. I still love movies.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
My struggle to grow. I’ve been in the city five years and I’m barely better off than I was when I got here.
What keeps you awake at night?
The noises from the theater down below. I stay in a room above the screen rooms. It’s scary sometimes!
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
Money. But, lots of people say that, I’m sure. Please tell me lots of people say that? It feels a bit too pathetic if I’m the only one.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have? For yourself or for someone important to you?
I wouldn’t mind my own apartment. Not anything huge. Just a one room with a kitchen and bathroom. Maybe I could have a fish or something? Just something to prove that I’m figuring this all out?
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
Works hard to come by. But—I’ll survive.

Five years ago, Purdy Marin's wedding was shattered when her fiancé, Sawyer Delambre, accused her of cheating-at the altar. Humiliated and fed up, she ditched town and never looked back.
Years later, Purdy now goes by "Andi," and has a happy, albeit humble, life in the city. She thought she'd left the nightmare of Sawyer behind, but he has other plans. Sawyer, an aspiring director, assembled the perfect trap-a chilling horror script, the funding to make it real, and Andi cast in the starring role. Strapped for cash, she agrees.
But Sawyer isn't the only one looking for the spotlight. His older brother, Asher, has quietly loved Andi for years. Now cast as her on-screen husband, Ash has the excuse he's always wanted-to finally stand where his brother once stood.
As the cameras roll, alliances shift, and buried secrets rise to the surface. Everyone has motives. Everyone believes they're directing the show. But Andi may be the most dangerous player of all. She's spent years letting Sawyer tell her story. This is her shot to write her own ending.
But every ending comes with a cost. And in every found footage, the story only survives because someone didn't.

Tylor Paige (she/her) is an Amazon Top 3 bestselling author of what her readers have lovingly labeled, whorror.
Tylor is proof that horror doesn’t have to be serious to be effective. It can be self-aware, playful, and at times romantic, while still telling a solid scary story. In blending her passions for both romance and horror she’s not only creating something that’s both risqué and bloody, she’s bridging the gap between the hopelessly romantic and the hopelessly haunted.
